Submissions now open for the 33rd Annual LAMBDA LITERARY AWARDS

Join us in celebrating the best LGBTQ books of 2020

For 32 years, the Lambda Literary Awards have identified and honored the best lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender books.

For a community that often finds ourselves the targets of legislative and actual violence, we also need and deserve pleasure, joy, and celebration, which is what the Lammys has endeavored to provide for more than 30 years.

Be a part of this incredible tradition and submit your books for consideration. But first, read the COMPLETE submission guidelines at

https://www.lambdaliterary.org/guidelines-categories/

Here's a brief summary
Submissions for the 33rd Lambda Literary Awards are now open. The deadline to submit is November 16, 2020.

Lambda Literary Award submissions are judged principally on literary merit and content relevant to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer lives. Specific guidelines must be met for each award category.

A book may be submitted to only one category. Because of this, it is very important that you read through these guidelines carefully to ensure that your book is eligible for consideration and that you are submitting it to the proper category.

If, after thoroughly reading the guidelines below, you still have questions about the submission process, please email awards@lambdaliterary.org before submitting your work

. New for 2020
Due to COVID-19, we have implemented an entirely digital submission process using Submittable.

Given the significant increase in the number of LGBTQ books for younger readers, we have split the LGBTQ Children's/YA category into two categories: LGBTQ Children's/Middle Grade and LGBTQ Young Adult.

We've expanded the mystery category to include bi, trans, and queer books by creating a single LGBTQ Mystery category.
