Glorious, The Musical fundraising musical showcase celebrating the American LGBTQ military experience to be held at Ballard Commons Event Space August 3 |
'We feel we have captured the tension, the drama, and the triumph of the American LGBTQ military experience,' said Emery Wager, co-author of Glorious.
The musical theatre drama Glorious depicts the lives of an experimental all-Gay US military unit established in response to the controversial 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' policy. This unit embarks on a journey of leadership and self-understanding, as they forge the bonds of friendship and teamwork in the context of military mission and purpose.
The compelling music and lyrics were written by co-author Jason Spears of Seattle.
Songs from Glorious will debut on Saturday, August 3, at the Ballard Commons Event Space (5601 22nd Ave NW) in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, across the street from the Ballard Branch Library and Ballard Commons Park.
This rooftop setting will enhance the combination of party, fundraiser, and concert, in the exhilarating tradition of original musical theater.
Doors open at 7:00pm, and the show starts at 8:00pm. Tickets range from $25 to $5,000 for patrons of the arts. All proceeds from the event after expenses will be put towards a workshop production to take place in 2020.
