The Seattle Public Library presents 'Legendary Children' at Seattle Art Museum April 14

The Seattle Public Library will host 'Legendary Children,' an evening of representation, dance, empowerment, art and social justice that celebrates queer and transgender people of color on Saturday, April 14, from 8pm to 11pm at the Seattle Art Museum (1300 1st Avenue).

This event is FREE, although drinks and food are not, and everyone is welcome. You must have ID to drink. Facebook registration is encouraged.

'Legendary Children' will have live performances and DJs, alongside art by some of the Pacific Northwest's most talented queer artists. Everyone is invited to join in the conversations sparked by SAM's special exhibition 'Figuring History: Robert Colescott, Kerry James Marshall, Mickalene Thomas,' which will be open and free during this event. Curated highlights from the Library's collection will also be available for check out.

This event is made possible by The Seattle Public Library Foundation. It is presented in partnership with Seattle Art Museum, The University of Washington Q Center, Pride Asia and La Sala.

For more information, call the Library at 206-386-4636 or visit https://www.spl.org.
