ArtsWest brings back Golden Age of Hollywood with the 'ArtsWest Holiday Cast Party'

Bringing a heaping dash of holiday cheer to Seattle this winter, the first ever 'ArtsWest Holiday Cast Party' - hosted by ArtsWest Artistic Director Mathew Wright with Music Director Chris DiStefano - makes its debut at ArtsWest on December 1 and plays through December 23.

In the timeless tradition of shows like 'The Judy Garland Show,' 'The Dean Martin Show,' and other classics from the Golden Age of Hollywood, the 'ArtsWest Holiday Cast Party' will feature music, comedy, games with the audience, and special appearances by a revolving lineup of beloved ArtsWest stars.

ArtsWest Artistic Director Mathew Wright - a fixture at the ArtsWest After Hours Cabaret series - will host each show alongside the multi-talented Music Director Chris DiStefano, himself an admired Seattle performer from such recent productions as ACT's Murder for Two and Village Theatre's Into the Woods.

'The Cast Party is going to be pure entertainment, really, and a crazy spectacle,' said Wright, adding that with a different set of performers every night, 'There will be a dynamic that you never know exactly what's going to happen next - or who's going to show up - but you know it's either going to be hilarious, mind-blowingly talented, or both at once.'

For the inspiration? 'We wanted to bring everything we love about the Golden Age of Hollywood - the joy, the music, the friendships, the whole oddball spirit of these classic shows and translate them for 2017,' said Wright.

'Once we hit on the idea, we knew it was the perfect winter show for Seattle theatre fans. Boozy but family friendly, hilarious but packed with classic songs - it's just got all the right ingredients. We can't wait.'

The 'ArtsWest Holiday Cast Party,' hosted by Mathew Wright with Music Direction by Chris DiStefano, plays at ArtsWest Playhouse & Gallery (4711 California Ave SW) from December 1 to December 23. The show runs approximately 75 minutes with no intermission.

Scheduled guests are as follows: Fri 12/1 - Beth DeVries & Danny Kam; Sat 12/2 - Lisa Mandelkorn & Chelsea LeValley; Sun 12/3 - Nick Watson & Jimmie Herrod; Fri 12/8 - Andi Alhadeff & Frederick Hagreen; Sat 12/9 - Ann Cornelius & Nicholas Tarabini; Sun 12/10 - Cayman Ilika & Billie Wildrick; Fri 12/15 - Bobbi Katula & Corinna Lapid Munter; Sat 12/16 - Ben Gonio & Justin Huertas; Sun 12/17 - Brenna Wagner & TBD; Fri 12/22 - EmilyRose Frasca & Jessi Little; Sat 12/23 - Jordan Iosua Taylor & Kirsten DeLohr Helland.
