Mid-winter news from Out In Front!

Keeping Busy in the Winter Months
Our current cohort is more than halfway finished with their program (where did the time go?) and the Board of Directors is preparing for a busy spring and summer season.

Thank You!

Thanks to more than 30 donors, we reached our goal of raising $5,000 for scholarships and tuition assistance! Gifts made during our Giving Tuesday/Holiday Appeal will help reduce the cost of tuition for eligible participants in the 2017-18 cohort. Thank you for your generous gifts. If you'd still like to participate, visit www.outinfrontseattle.org.

Program Sessions Head To Completion
The cohort recently participated in the LGBTQ Diversity Retreat, a two-day intensive workshop which covers how various identities impact our interactions and why understanding the diversity within the LGBTQ community - and the need for the inclusion of multiple voices and perspectives - is essential to effective leadership. In February the cohort heads south to Olympia to gain in-depth understanding of the legislative process. In March, Media Day helps the participants consider and select the appropriate forms of media while transmitting a persuasive and compelling message.

In April, as the program begins to wind down, Finding Your Place helps the participants assess their talents and skills and make decisions about how best to use them on the local, regional, national or international stage. Finally in May, Sustainable Action helps the participants prepare for the future and learn strategies to sustain themselves as leaders.

2017-18 Cohort Applications
The application for our 10th cohort is now available at www.outinfrontseattle.org. Space in the cohort is limited so we encourage you to apply now to receive priority interview scheduling. We encourage all interested applicants to read the program materials and application thoroughly before beginning the application.
