Center on Contemporary Art (CoCA) is excited to announce 35 Live: CoCA Members' Show 2016. Presenting the artwork of 185 emerging and career artists from around the world, 35 Live is part of CoCA's year-long 35th anniversary celebration.
35 Live highlights the work of a diverse group of emerging and career artists and includes video, performance, site-specific installations, and digital galleries. All of the artists presented are part of CoCA's new on-line Artist Member Directory, which features artist profiles, information and images. Artists from as far as Pakistan, Ghana, Hong Kong and Oklahoma are participating in this massive group show. Exhibition highlights include a sewing machine made of fabric, a beard as a projection surface, conceptual explorations of marijuana, love and loss in a contemporary world, riveting images of revolutionaries, and discourse on alien space travel.
35 Live will be held in three CoCA Pops locations around Seattle including Capitol Hill, Pioneer Square and Georgetown. Each location will present many special events including artists' meet and greet, art tours, artists' receptions and a rocking closing party. Come reunite with friends, as well as meet our newest artists, members, volunteers and patrons. 35 Live: CoCA Members' Show runs Wednesday, March 2 through Saturday, April 23.
