Shelita Potroast and Caeser Hart will lead announcing at the L Corner Stage during the 42nd Annual Seattle Pride Parade
Seattle Pride has chosen Caesar Hart and Shelita Potroast to be the announcers at the L Corner Stage (4th and Denny) during the 2016 Seattle Pride Parade.
Ceasar Hart is best known for his male persona and impersonations he brings to his shows. He was the Mr. Neighbours Seattle 2011-2013, and is the only drag king to hold the title in the history of the pageant. He is also a cast member of the longest running drag show in Washington state, Marlayna Mcbride and The Jakettes Show, held at Jakes on 4th in Olympia the last Saturday of every month. He has traveled from Everett all the way down to Portland performing at benefits supporting Marriage Equality, Washington United for Marriage, Referendum 74, AIDS awareness, Planned Parenthood, Camp Ten Trees, and teen suicide and bullying prevention, among others. In addition to his own shows, Caesar also is known for being a guest performer at Morning Glory, HOTFLASH, Mimosas with Mama, INFERNO, Girl for Girl, BENT, Fuego at the Wild Rose, Bacon Strip, UNTUCKED, Doll House, Queens Brunch at the Royal Room, Pride Idol, FUZED and Julia's on Broadway brunch and pride shows.
Seattle Pride President Eric Bennett said, 'We are thrilled to name Caesar Hart as an announcer, his expertise in performance and upstanding involvement in the community makes him perfect for the role.'
Shelita Potroast is Seattle's hungriest drag queen. After winning the first season of ArtHaus at Kremwerk nightclub as one of the founding members of The Haus of Keebler, Shelita has been spotted around town with her sisters either gorging on the gourmet offerings of the 7-11 hot case, or hosting and performing at a variety of the amazing nightclubs and bars that Seattle has to offer. She is thankful for all the support she has received from friends, family and the local community over the last few years.
'We are honored that Shelita has accepted our offer to announce at the L Corner Stage. We believe she will help make the day a phenomenal success,' said Bennett.
The Seattle Pride Parade takes place annually on the last Sunday in June. The 2016 Parade will be held on Sunday, June 26th. Visit SeattlePride.org to register your group or find out how you can participate in creating a successful day by becoming a valued volunteer.
