Exciting new blues band Fast Nasties |

'Seattle gets the blues to,' says lead singer for the Fast Nasties Eric Blu. 'We make music out of it.'
Fast Nasties is an exciting new blues band out of Seattle. 'But this ain't your granddaddy's blues,' say the band. 'This brand of blues has sensitivity for the modern ear. It is a sound that offers something for nearly every taste.'
From the Johnny Cash vibe of 'Long Way Down' to the street-level realness of 'Where I'm Comin' From,' there's no itch this band can't scratch. Although the band does perform some non-original music, they are quick to say they are not a cover band.
The Fast Nasties are Eric Blu, Vocalist; Andreas Laursen, Guitarist; Robert Woods, Guitarist; Kevin Smith, Bassist; and Nick Marrs, Drummer.
Although newly formed, the band has already recorded tracks of original music that are absolutely splendid. One of the best things about Fast Nasties is that they have a full sound. In other words this band sounds good through the speakers at home, in your car or onstage in a club or concert hall. Each song speaks for itself, both musically and vocally. From the very carefree and summer bluesy 'Coolin' Out' to the self-affirming anthem 'Let it Ride' the band shows tremendous talent and Blu's vocals range from vulnerable to seductive.
Eric Blu is also the lead singer and founder of locally acclaimed Seattle band Eric Blu and The Soul Revue. In addition, Blu, who is openly Gay, spends his time volunteering with local social justice nonprofit Social Outreach Seattle (SOSea), serving as the organizations outreach director for communities of color.
The Fast Nasties are scheduled to appear at the highly anticipated collaborative show Art, Music, Dance, Entertainment & Fashion (AMDEF) 2015 at Neumos, September 12. The schedule is not yet available that says which time of the eight hours of entertainment promoters have scheduled will be allotted to the band, but that's okay because if you buy a ticket for the show at http://neumos.com/events/amdef-2015/ for $15, you can watch as little or as much of the lineup as you'd like.
