Enjoy the Bloody Mary Brunch at TRACE before the Pride Parade

Whether you crave a Pulled Kahlua Pork Benedict, Warm Tillamook Cheddar Biscuits, or a Chorizo Burger with a Sunny Side Up Egg and Roasted Tomato Aioli on a Brioche Bun, you'll want to make your way to TRACE restaurant and bar at W Seattle. Celebrate PRIDE with their annual Bloody Mary Brunch on Sunday, June 29, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Only two blocks from the start of the Pride Parade, Chef Steven Ariel will be crafting a sumptuous brunch perfect for friends to celebrate before the festivities. Named by Thrillist.com as one of the 11 Best Hotel Restaurants in the U.S., TRACE offers a fresh, contemporary urban dining experience in the heart of Seattle and close to 4th and Union where the Pride Parade starts.

Led by Chef Steven Ariel, TRACE is a must-try for foodies, where a 'localist' focus means a menu filled with contemporary, inventive dishes using regional specialties, including farm fresh produce along with a hint of Asian inspiration plus a 10-seat sushi bar highlighting sustainably caught seafood. Steven has traveled widely and has worked within a broad array of cuisines, from Asian and Pacific Rim fusion, to Northern Italian and Pacific Northwestern and brings this global perspective to TRACE.

Born in Honolulu, Steven was raised on the Big Island (Hawaii) on a macadamia nut and coffee farm. His extensive knowledge of the kitchen along with a passion for food and wine pairings comes courtesy of intensive study at the University of Hawaii, the Thai Cooking School in Bangkok, Thailand and completion of the introductory course from the Court of Master Sommeliers.

In March of 1995, he helped open Alan Wong's Honolulu, and in September 1999, he served as the Chef de Cuisine at The Pineapple Room by Alan Wong in Honolulu, garnering restaurant kudos from Food & Wine, Wine Spectator, Gourmet magazine, Zagat and more.

A move to Seattle in 2006 found Chef Ariel working as Executive Sous Chef at the renowned Canlis restaurant, where he was responsible for all aspects of kitchen operations. From 2009 to 2011, he worked as Sous Chef alongside Chef Holly Smith at Cafe Juanita, Kirkland, Washington's highly regarded, James Beard Award-winning restaurant with a focus on the foods of Northern Italy's Piedmont region. Most recently Steven held the position of Chef de Cuisine at Chef Thierry Rautureau's French restaurant, LUC, in Seattle's Madison Valley neighborhood.

TRACE COCKTAILS
With their dynamic, handcrafted cocktails highlighting liquor from regional distilleries, local beers, a wine list featuring notable Washington State wineries, in addition to choice domestic and international selections, TRACE is the perfect before or after Pride Parade stop. You'll want to give their Bloody Marys a try, where you can choose your own Vodka, Mix (regular, spicy chipotle, green tomatillo) and Garden Grow (roasted jalapenos, queen olive, bacon, capers pickled green beans, celery, pearl onions, cherry tomato, lemon, lime, bell pepper, carrot, and shrimp - additional charge applies.

Not a fan of Bloody Mary's? TRACE has options: The festive 'Pride Punch' features Three Olives cherry vodka, coconut rum, tropical juices, and is finished with a float of Myer's rum. Or, try one of their classic Drops: the Rose Drop with Stoli Citrus vodka, cranberry vodka, cranberry juice, orange juice, lemon juice or the Emerald Drop with Absolut Mandarin vodka, Midori, orange juice and lemon juice.

TRACE (traceseattle.com) is located at 1112 4th Avenue, between Seneca and Spring Sts. Reservations available at 206-264-6060.
