MEDIA PLAYS DUMB WITH OCCUPY WALL STREET MOTIVES

I find it a joke that the media had no problem identifying what it is the Tea Party wants but in all the stories I have seen regarding the protests with Wall Street and the bankers as targets the media is playing stupid as to what it is the protestors want. This is the same game many expressed regarding Gay rights.

The message is simple they want the criminals who created the financial mess we are in held accountable. They want politicians to make decisions based on what is good for all Americans and not just those with the deepest pockets. They want economic justice and for those who have been victimized by Wall Street and bankers to be made whole. They want an end to trillions of dollars going to wage wars while cutting critical needs at home go unaddressed. They want an end to injustices taking place here at home. They want to see a return to a government putting people before corporations and an end to treating corporations as if they were human. Corporations like government are created to serve the people not the other way around. They want a return to decisions being made based on fact and not religious dogma and the emotional whims of those with the most power.

I hope the media starts to get the picture. If not I would be happy to sit down and paint a picture for them.

George Whitaker
