New York legalizes same-sex marriage

New York state legalized same-sex marriage June 24.

The Senate passed the bill 33-29 at 10:29 p.m. and Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed it into law less than 90 minutes later.

Same-sex couples can begin marrying July 25.

ECSA holds Emerald City Classic tournament

The Emerald City Softball Association will host the Emerald City Classic, their annual tournament, this upcoming weekend.

Organized labor participated proudly in this year's Pride Parade.

Joining Pride At Work - the AFL-CIO's LGBT constituency organization - in a special labor contingent were CLUW, PSARA, UAW 4121, and UFCW 21.
