Topeka KS arrests

Kansas Equality Coalition is planning an arrestable situation in Kansas State Capitol targeting Gov (Fmr US Sen) Sam Brownback. Friday 3:30p CST. A group will attempt to meet with the Governor at his office, which is divided in 3 sections: ceremonial office (where the Governor has signed 5 anti-women bills), staff offices, and his office. We may only get into the reception room, and refusing to obey Capitol Police (subsection of Kansas State Troopers) order to vacate will result in a misdemeanor on a state level, and Shawnee County judges will not hear cases until Monday. Tom Witt (KEC) is coordinating media.

Chair@KansasEqualityCoalition.org

Tom is putting it out in the press and it has already been announced that we will rally on a Local CBS-12 channel tonight.

Brownback's twitter @GovSamBrownback

The threat of arrest has already been made public, and any help you can provide in adding this twitter along with @KansasEquality will make sure this governor wakes up.

The state legislature knows Tom well as the main and only lobbyist for LGBT issues. He also firmly declares pro-choice solidarity in this home state of Dr. Tiller (Medical OB/GYN doctor assassinated in a Wichita Church). Tom worked with Dr Tiller personally.

Dr Means, his possible replacement, has already been targeted by local press here.

I stand with them for the women's right to govern their own bodies, and I met KS NOW leaders today at our house party where we raised over $3500 for our Equality fight.

Additionally, KEC is looking for interns to help build their PAC. Any connections you have will be GREATLY appreciated. Please send names to chair.

Warmly,
Dan
