In May of 1986, a small tavern on Madison St. was bought by Chet Herald, remodeled, and turned into a Gay bar. As the downtown Gay bar scene changed later that year, Michael Lull was hired, and he quickly set the example of what a bartender at the Madison Pub should be. After many years, Mikey stepped down from the day-to-day operation of the bar in 2005, and Roland took over management. Roland purchased the bar from Mikey in January of this year.
On May 14, the Madison Pub will celebrate its 25th anniversary. Congratulations on reaching another milestone!
