Update: The measure passed 38-27, after lengthy debate over several hours. I noticed the number of speakers against the measure took up most of the time, while those voting for discrimination were far less to be found. There most certainly were not 38 speakers, or anywhere close to it, in favor of the measure.
Stay tuned on this as we move towards a ballot campaign, as appears likely after the House votes. This is going to be a battleground.
