Joe was a very talented man, but he mostly should be remembered for his work helping people with AIDS. Joe was the founder of the Seattle AIDS Support Group (now Dunshee House) in 1984 at the beginning of the AIDS pandemic.
Joe left us peacefully at Bailey Boushay House on December 15, 1999 after a long battle with cancer.
As my friend and partner of 20 years, and for his work for people with AIDS, Joe is remembered and missed.
