Ref 71 (and Equality Cookies)
Dear Friends,

I am sending this note to let you all know about a fundraising effort that we are launching this weekend at Columbia City Bakery. From now until November 3rd we will be selling what we call 'Equality Cookies' (large, heart-shaped shortbread cookies), in an attempt to raise money to support passage of Referendum 71.

The staff and ownership of our little bakery feel strongly that Washington's Domestic Partnership Law needs to be preserved, and after putting our heads together we came up with this sweet idea. The cookies will sell for $1.50 each, with $1.00 from each cookie going directly to Washington Families Standing Together (wafst.org).

Our goal is to raise $1,000 per month! Any help spreading the word would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Andrew Cleary, CCB General Manager
