FORT WORTH - The gay community has long been perceived as quiet and somewhat passive in Fort Worth, where many say they don't feel comfortable holding hands in Sundance Square.
It's quite the opposite of Dallas, where gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender residents are more at ease in long-established neighborhoods such as Oak Lawn.
