Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence's "Mad Tea Party"
Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence's "Mad Tea Party"
Mad Tea Party to benefit Camp Ten Trees
Daughters of the American Revolution Hall
May 10

Your service is required as a prospective juror by the High Court of Her Majesty the Queen of Hearts of Wonderland. Please present yourself to her majesty's Royal Guard at: The Daughters of the American Revolution Hall at 800 E. Roy St., Capitol Hill, Mother's Day, May the 10, 2009, 2:30 p.m. sharp.

Imaginative and elaborate head gear for 'Over The Top-Hat' contest is strongly suggested.

Follow the White Rabbit to a garden of talking flowers for the reception and silent auction accompanied by live music. The hookah-smoking Caterpillar will have you escorted to the tea table to join the Mad Hatter, the March Hare and Alice. We'll enjoy a luxurious afternoon tea service, interactive entertainment, and perhaps a role in Alice's trial! Have your bid cards ready for the auction of the Queen of Hearts' Desserts and the Mad Hatter's fantasy hats.

Last year, the Mad Tea Party was a sellout, and The Sisters hope to make this a Mother's Day tradition for years to come. Tickets are still available at www.brownpapertickets.com

This year, the show is bigger, better, and madder, with special guest royalty and new options for guests:

Trial Witness - $ 75.00

Sit right in the middle of the madness! Enjoy a traditional afternoon tea of sandwiches and scones in Wonderlandian fashion with stylish service from our card/servants. You may even be arrested by the guards and taken to the witness stand to give evidence before The Queen.

Juror - $100.00

Become part of the show in the jury box closest to our mystery guest Queen of Hearts. The Chefs will prepare themed welcome plates and beverage tastings designed for those serving jury duty. The main course, of course: our traditional afternoon tea with sandwiches and scones served by the Queen's own royal table servants. Each juror will receive a one-of-a-kind VIP souvenir handmade by dear little nuns.
