Capitol Hill restaurants Dining Out For Life on April 30
A record number of Capitol Hill restaurants have signed on to participate in the 16th Annual Dining Out For Life on April 30. Forty neighborhood restaurants will donate 30 percent of their proceeds from breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails to Lifelong AIDS Alliance. Last year, 29 Capitol Hill restaurants participated in Dining Out For Life.

"Capitol Hill restaurants continue to raise the bar for community involvement despite the economy," said Trevor DeWitt, Lifelong AIDS Alliance's community relations coordinator.

Several Capitol Hill newcomers, including the much-buzzed about Poppy, Oddfellows and Tin Table, have joined the event as well as more established restaurants, such as Coastal Kitchen and Café Septieme that are rejoining after a few years' hiatus.

"Restaurants see both the social and business value of participating in Dining Out For Life," DeWitt said. "It's an opportunity for restaurants to support the community and also for the community to support locally-owned restaurants." Last year, Dining Out For Life raised $250,000 for Lifelong AIDS Alliance. These proceeds help support Lifelong's care services for people living with HIV, AIDS and other chronic illnesses.

Over 155 Seattle area restaurants will participate in Dining Out For Life on April 30. For a list of participating restaurants, visit
