Softball Association inducts new members into Hall of Fame Sunday
ECSA HALL OF FAME INDUCTION<
SUNDAY, 4 PM
PURR

The Emerald City Softball Association Hall of Fame will induct two new members this week. In a ceremony that kicks off the ECSA season, Greg Bannish and Mike "Milly" Farris will be enshrined. Both Mike and Greg are past Open League Commissioners and championed growth and a place for everyone to play. Their combined eight years at the helm of the league saw it grow from 10 teams to nearly 30 teams with over 400 players.

Greg has been a symbol of dedication and given his very best to the Emerald City Softball Association since he started playing in 1993. He has been an exemplary commissioner, player, coach, tournament director, sponsor and ambassador for the Emerald City Softball league. Greg's quiet good humor and ability to develop a coalition and a team atmosphere made him an extremely effective leader and helped the league grow to its current size.

Mike brought enthusiasm and energy to the league and was part of the now legendary "Cheerleaders" whose pompoms were the delight of the league for many seasons. Mike was also the spearhead of the league's growth during his tenure as Commissioner and worked tirelessly to develop what is now the "D" division, a place for new players to grow and learn in an atmosphere of fun and camaraderie. He was instrumental in making this happen not just here in Seattle, but also championed this growth nationally.

The ECSA is lucky to have had such committed and caring people help to steward the organization, and is proud to induct them into the ECSA Hall of Fame this Sunday, April 6, at 4 p.m. at Purr Cocktail Lounge. Come join us in welcoming them to the Hall.

Greg Bannish and Mike "Milly" Farris will join the distinguished group of current ECSA Hall of Fame members: Nick Bacetich, Gary "Dixie" Carter, Al Castor, Bruce Caszatt, Al Fernandez, Jim "Mother" May, Frank Pichinini, Scott Rodriguez, Time Time, Alex Veltri, Dug Wehage, Joe Wolanski and Bobby Wright.
