IRAQ FOR SALE:
THE WAR PROFITEERS
SATURDAY DECEMBER 1
NEW FREEWAY HALL
I've always found it an enlightening and stirring experience to be part of the audience at New Freeway Hall when there's a panel or film going on. With the holiday focus on corporate spending madness, I can't think of a better time to get some perspective on how the rest of the world is doing -
particularly Iraq.
With this in mind, those who still keep their minds sound during the season of gluttony might find a showing of the film Iraq For Sale: The War Profiteers a good night out. This documentary deals with the deals going on behind the Iraq war, and should prove an education - even for those who know a little more than what the mainstream news media has been soundbyting us with. The program, which includes a dessert and snacks menu, starts at 7:30 p.m. and those attending are invited to stay after the film to discuss their opinions, views or thoughts on the matter of the Iraq war and other relevant subjects. For more information,
call: 722-2453.
