IN LOVING MEMORY - Kelly Robert Green - Richard 'Glenn' French
IN LOVING MEMORY - Kelly Robert Green - Richard 'Glenn' French
IN LOVING MEMORY Kelly Robert Green was born on November 25, 1963 in California, but he called Seattle home for more than twenty years. He passed away October 4, 2007.

It has been said that writing an obituary is the Siberia of journalism. However, it is truly an honor to write about such a warm hearted, tender soul as this respected man. He was well known for his sense of fashion, doll collecting and his magnetic personality. He loved everyone and always looked for the good in people. That was perhaps his most endearing quality.

Kelly died after a long illness, which was preceded by many years of hard work at Club Z where he had many friends. He continued to visit and stay in touch with his beloved co-workers. He was dearly loved where he lived also.

One of his neighbors wrote, "I have never known anyone who lived with as much grace while dying as Kelly. He was always kind, polite, helpful and sweet no matter how bad he felt. I could see the discomfort in his eyes but his indomitable spirit persisted. The last time I saw him was before I went on vacation the first week in October. He held the front door for me because my hands were full and I watched as he got into a cab. That moment will be forever etched in my memory. Kelly was sitting in the back seat of a cab with his wig askew and a faint smile on his face waving goodbye to me. He passed the day before I came home. I suppose on some level I knew he was going to die but my denial won out. It is difficult for me to accept that his physical presence is no longer with us. Yet, he lives on in our memories and dreams."

Kelly's memorial will be held
October 27, 2007
at Denny Terrace
100 Melrose Ave E.
in the Lester Jones Community Room
from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Everyone is welcome to come and share memories of a life well lived and loved by so many.

He is survived by his Grandmother, Eileen Royer and Aunt, Brenda Royer of Laurel , MT , his Aunt & Uncle, Rhonda & Mike Smith of Cosmopolis, WA, and several extended family members. He will be greatly missed by his recovery family in and around the Seattle area, but will live on in our hearts forever.
