PROUD PARENTING

Dear SGN,
As a parent of a Gay son, your recent article about a couple with an impending parenthood interested me very much. Considering all their traveling, tests, etc., it is obvious their lives have already changed.

May I suggest how important it is to have a meaningful support system, not always Gay people? Raising a child or children most certainly changes your lifestyles, time involved, illnesses, and meaningful times.

May the blessings of your new family contribute to your personal happiness in the name of love.

Sincerely,

HALLEJULAH BLUES

Dear SGN,
Several weeks ago, I heard a talk format on local radio featuring a minister who was verbally castigating Gay people from the start of the program to the end.... "Gays are sinners; ruining marriages; separating families; and are animals trying to avoid a variety of social diseases. They consistently corrupt their partners and themselves with their mutual flesh, mating like dogs. Plus, many Gay males have 1,548 liaisons in their lifetime."

Where have I been?

When the guy was finished, I felt he was the sinner not me. It's too bad there are so many of these zealots out there giving credence to their instability by roasting Gay people every chance they get.

Sincerely,
Buzz Flowers Callaway
