Lipstick and Lust
Living the dream of a better self, lusting on the bus and so much more in this Lipstick and Lust
by Rajkhet Dirzhud-Rashid - SGN A&E Writer

Ah, my children, it seems--for now, anyway-that the cosmos has stopped pounding us down into the ground like a nail. Yay that! And I'm getting flirted with by the cutest girrrlz and boys, on buses, at the gym, and just about everywhere else. Hey, one even had my same name (the legal one my dears, not the one you know me by), and we exchanged pleasantries while some drama went on in the back of the number 11 last week after I left the gym; pumping up the 'tris' and 'bis' and 'delts' doncha know. Oh, so very hot and so very blond, we hope we see that one again!

In the mean time, this one has been working her little psychic self off to shed some old baggage and become closer to the sleek, self-fulfilled beauty she was meant to be, and it's working let me tell you. True, I still wish for more cash, and wish to be living in the house of my dreams in Tacoma, but I'm a patient soul, so hey, in time, in time. At least I've been able to get some stuff done that I'd planned to work on, like sending a snippet of my book This, I Shamelessly Tell You to another publication (and I hope they like this one and publish it, since the last piece was liked, but had to be tweaked for content. Broadening the horizons my dear ones. Also had great times at the Ballard Farmer's Market last Sunday, the 15th (right after Bastille Day, so viva la revolution of this one's soul and sexual self!) and took so super photos of cute folks. Enjoy the pix in this column as well as on my blog at bloggerspot.com (that's Perry, someone this one sure would like to get to know better, hmmmm?).

Also did try some delish products, (including the wonderful 'Wish' scent I'm wearing from Olivine Salon/Spa, located in Ballard near Duque at 5348 Ballard Avenue). You can't get that scent, as they're no longer ordering it, but you can get a number of other ones, including 'Starlet,' which I just love and so intend to pick up very soon. And do try Fekkai's 'Hair Masque' after your pool or beach trip, which you can pick up at Sephora, my fave cosmetics store. And pick up some 'Contour Cream For Lips and Eyes' by Caudalie, while you're there. Wonderful stuff for perking up the eye area after a night of partying or just staying up too late (which this one has been doing way too much of!).

Oh, and for my Gay, male readers (who tell me they read this column religiously, and thanks my little Italian candies), do check out TakeOut, the gathering happening July 26th at Pravda Studios (1406 10th Avenue), where you can hang out, gnosh and get a reading from moi on your future. So cool, yes? Yes! So, that's it for now my little farmer's market strawberries, and don't forget to wear good sunscreen out there in the sunshine, and keep those pinkies looking sumptuous, not grody, 'kay? Be nice to everyone, smile more and buy local stuff from the farmer's at the many markets around the area, you won't be sorry, believe me. For now, then, buhbye! Email me at ijanaral@yahoo.com.
