Stayin' Alive in Funkytown with the bad girls of the abbey of St. Joan!
Sisters' Memorial Day Disco At the Cuff, Sunday, 5/27 By Maggie Bloodstone

I admit, I was the first person in Auburn, Wash. to wear a 'Disco Sucks' T-shirt, but even I will be attending Sister Charity Case's first ever Memorial Day Disco at The Cuff this Sunday, May 27.

Commencing at 5PM, the evening will feature not only every up-tempo booty-shaker from Sylvester to Sister Sledge for your syncopated enjoyment, but the always festive presence of the Sisters Of Perpetual Indulgence, whose working fund will be the beneficiary of this particular Boogie Night. Reccommended dress: Afros, coke spoon necklaces, tube tops, hot pants, and yards of polyester, as there will be a contest for the most decked-out Disco Duck of the evening. Plus, the Abbey's famous jello shots, a coat check confessional (where you can confess your darkest secrets-for a price), and your very own keepsake picture with the Sister of your choice.

Yes, Disco still sucks-but in a *good* way!

The Cuff Complex is located at 1533 13th Ave., 206-323-1525.
