Local retired general, once nation's top military officer, opposes military ban on Gays
Seattle City Councilmember Sally J. Clark was sworn into office by her father, Stephen Clark, on Monday, January 8th at City Hall in downtown Seattle. Clark was elected by Seattle voters last November to complete the term of former City Councilmember Jim Compton, who had resigned for personal reasons. Clark became the third Lesbian to serve on the city council last February, after being appointed to the position.
