The AIDS Quilt Showing in Seattle

Two blocks of the AIDS Memorial Quilt will be on display December 1-10 at Woodland Park United Methodist Church. Founded in 1987, it is the largest ongoing community arts project in the world, totaling 40,000 three foot by six foot panels. Eight panels are sewn together to form one block. Virtually every panel is made in honor of a specific person who has died as a result of AIDS. Woodland Park UMC invites the public to come and view this living memorial. The church is located at 302 N 78th Street. For more information call the church at 206-784-6969.

Viewing times are:

Friday, December 1: Grand Opening  11am-8pm, brief worship at 7pm

Saturday, December 2: 11am-3pm

Sunday, December 3: 2pm-5pm

Tuesday, December 5: 1pm-3pm

Wednesday, December 6: 11am-3pm and 5pm-8pm

Thursday, December 7:11am-3pm

Friday, December 8: 11am-3pm and 5pm-8pm

Saturday, December 9: 11am-3pm

Sunday, December 10: 2pm-5pm
