SISTER SAYS: LAUGH!
SISTER SAYS: LAUGH!
Sisters Of Perpetual Indulgence The Abbey Of St Joan: A Night Of A Thousand Laughs At Re-Bar

by Maggie Bloodstone - SGN A&E Writer

What do you call 2 nuns in a blender? Twisted sister. One nun in a blender? Bloody Mary. (Ba-dum!)

These are just a couple of the jokes you won't be hearing at 'Night Of A Thousand Laughs', an evening of freewheeling frivolity courtesy of The Sisters Of Perpetual Indulgence, Abbey Of St. Joan, Sat., Nov. 11, at the raucous Re-Bar.

If the Sisters are known for one thing-besides that, you filthy-minded creature, you- it's inspiring joy in any situation while inspiring folks to open their hearts and wallets for a good cause. The good cause in this case is The Seattle Men's Chorus Youth Ticket Program, which helps expose Seattle's youth to Queer visibility and Diversity.

An evening full of fun nuns would be well worth the price of admission, you'd think, but the Sisters will also be presenting special guests, including Ethel!, and The Bearatones, a local group of cuddly crooners most recently seen at Spring Thaw '06, and whose voices can be heard on the soundtrack of the film Creatures From The Pink Lagoon.

Door at 7pm, show at 7:30. Tickets: $10.00 available online at www.brownpapertickets.com or ask your favorite Sister. (Tickets also available at the door.)

The Rebar is located at 1114 Howell St., Seattle.

One more: What do you call a nun with a sex change operation?

A: A tran-sister.

how to we rate them?
