Men in Dance is back for the Sixth Against the Grain Festival
Men in Dance is back for the Sixth Against the Grain Festival
The Men in Dance are back to wow you at the Sixth Against The Grain Festival, bringing two weekends of first-rate choreography and performance to Seattle audiences.

Concert dates for this ever-popular series are October 13th, 14th, 15th, and 20th, 21st, and 22nd, 2006 at the intimate Velocity MainSpace Theatre in the Oddfellows Building at 915 Pine Street on Capitol Hill.

This year's choreographers include returning favorites Laura Curry, Raymond Houle, Vicki Lloid, Wade Madsen, Jason Ohlberg, Gary Reed, Gérard Théorêt, and Deborah Wolf. New to the line-up are Donald Byrd, Pilar Villanueva, and Olivier Wevers. And back to close the loop in the Festival's longevity is Richard Jessup, Men in Dance's founder, making his first choreographic/performance contribution after a ten-year absence.

This series " . . . showcases the distinctive power that men bring to dance and the remarkable male talent within our local dance community." -- Alice Kaderlan, Seattle P-I, Oct. 11th, 2004.

Show time is 8 pm Fridays and Saturdays, 7 pm on Sundays. Tickets are $15 general admission, $13 for students and seniors. To make reservations, please call 206-528-2006. Arrive early; festival seating and performances sell out!
