PRIDE 2006 - City approves permit for a political march and rally on Capitol Hill
The [Seattle LGBT] Center listened - and is now working collaboratively with our LGBTQ communities, organizations, businesses, and individuals to support those that want to continue the tradition of a political march and rally on Broadway/Capitol Hill.

"The Raise Your Voice March," on Sat., June 24th, will start with the Dyke Community Activists Rally at Seattle Central Community College at 5 PM. Then for the first time ever - Dykes on Bikes will lead the Dyke Community Activists - and everyone else who wants to be loud and proud - in the Raise Your Voice March.

We invite all LGBTQ and Allied organizations and individuals to be a part of this political march. The march will start promptly at 6 PM from the intersection of Pine/Broadway and will traverse north up Broadway and into Volunteer Park. The Center is encouraging everyone to be a part of this march - this year it's pivotal we are seen and heard! We also encourage folks to be in the parade the next day&but this will get you ready!

The focus of this march and rally is community, unity and power!!!

For more information or to sign up (as either a Dyke on a Bike or to be in the march), email

And if you'd like to support The Center, donations will go towards costs associated with coordinating this march and rally. Check our website for donation information: And thank you for supporting the LGBTQ community!
