LOVE ON DISPLAY: Gay parents and children participate in Annual White House Egg Roll
LOVE ON DISPLAY: Gay parents and children participate in Annual White House Egg Roll
About 100 Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) families participated in the Annual White House Egg Roll on April 17, in Washington, D.C. Wearing rainbow leis, the same-sex couples and their children made a visible statement about the unifying power of love to create a diversity of families. However, President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush were not on hand to welcome them because the couples had received invitations to arrive at noon, three hours after the official kick-off.
