the Music Lounge by Albert Rodriguez - SGN A & E Writer
James Blunt giving Seattle Gay News special interview for "Valentine's" issue next week
Some people give chocolates and assorted candy for Valentine's Day. The Seattle Gay News is giving you something much sweeter, more delicious and loaded with&charm. This year, we're giving you James Blunt. Nominated for five Brit Awards and the recipient of a recently certified gold album, the UK hottie freed a bit of time from his busy work schedule to be featured in our special Valentine's issue next week. Blunt is overseas performing a string of concert dates in various countries, but flies into Los Angeles next month to perform at a swanky pre-Grammy Awards party. Back to Bedlam (SGN's Top 25 Albums/CDs, 2005) is enjoying great success on both continents, primarily from its smash single "You're Beautiful". The music video for that song displays a shirtless Blunt.

I'll have to wake up early this week to grab Blunt's incoming phone call from Europe, but I'm not missing it for the world. I want to know exactly what he wore to Elton John's wedding, right down to the skivvies. And if you were present during Blunt's performance at the Paramount Theatre in November, opening for Jason Mraz, you might recall a funny story about a microphone malfunction that happened during a show in which he found himself in an awkward, self-gratifying position. I definitely want him to retell that story. So, grab a copy of the Seattle Gay News on February 3 to hear what James Blunt had to say when he stepped into "The Music Lounge".
