A wonderfully silly Spring night
A wonderfully silly Spring night includes a bit of Saucy Jack and a lot of Absolutely Flawless

Timberline Spirits through May 21

Absolutely Flawless, Drag cabaret

Every Friday at Timberline Spirits

Even though my whole body ached (particularly the parts I targeted to work on with my gym trainer) after I got home last weekend, I had a huge smile on my face. The reason for that smile was lots of dancing to the music at the Timberline Spirits where, once again, the ladies of Absolutely Flawless had kept a full house crowd snapping their fingers, clapping their hands and in all ways having a great time.

Emceed by Lilly Armani, the very talented performers in this weekly drag show did performances of songs by Britney Spears, Martha Wash and a divine version of “Lady Marmalade” featuring a trio of sizzling performers. But the highlight of the night came when “Armani,” taking off her makeup and becoming the man underneath it all, did a dazzling performance piece to a song I’d give my little finger to know who it was. This brought the show to a smashing finale, and brought a few of us (who weren’t rudely ignoring this magnifique art piece with boozy “hookups”) to our feet with cheers of appreciation.

If you haven’t been down to the Timberline Spirits to see this show, you can now see it on Saturdays at 10:00 p.m., after Saucy Jack and The Space Vixens (which I also caught a piece of, and still am in love with!). The new night kicked off last weekend, and undoubtedly was as fabulous as last Friday night’s glam showcase. Look for a future interview with a few of the “chocolata” stars, as well as the emcee with the most, Lily Armani.

And, if you haven’t gotten spring fever yet, let me just say that after last weekend’s Broadway Follies (which entailed me and three happy Gay lads and one very cute femme with a bodacious booty!), I certainly have a bad case. So, you can see that by seeing Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens and then following up with a dose of Absolutely Flawless, you too can come down with a mega case of delirious joy. Go there, find out for yourself. (For a review of Saucy Jack and information on times and tickets, see my review last week).
