Quake Rugby to host Gay rugby tournament
Quake Rugby to host Gay rugby tournament
On Saturday May, 7, over 150 Gay rugby players will converge on Seattle and they’re looking for action. The teams will spar off at Marymoor Park in Redmond at 8:00 a.m. until about 4:00 p.m. After the tournament, teams and fans are invited to a post party at The Cuff. Rugby events are known for their parties, and no one should miss this!

“We’re excited to play host to teams from all around the U.S.,” said Derrick Mickle, Tournament Director. There will be teams from Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Vancouver, San Diego, and more. “We hope Seattle will come out and watch this tournament, it should be an excellent time for all,” said Team Captain Craig Kelly.

Coach Jerry Gent is excited about The Quake’s chances, “We have our strongest team yet. We had a great season and look forward to a competitive tournament.” Last Spring, the Quake beat the reining Gay Rugby Champs, The San Francisco Fog. The Fog is looking to take back the crown/tiara at Magnitude 15.0.

The Quake would like to thank their sponsors for helping with this event. R-Place, Alaskan Brewing Company, Madison Pub, Changes, TuhLe’s Joint, Rein Fire Ranch, and The Cuff.
